With more than 90 players in it's association, open tennis at either the Members Club or Founder's Club in St. James provides a great opportunity for new residents to meet other tennis players for friendly or competitive matches. Regardless of your playing skill or level, the tennis courts and clubs organize several tennis teams from St. James area play in USTA league competition in nearby Wilmington. There are private and semi-private lessons available for the beginner. Local tennis facilities can be found at the following locations: Founders Club: Currently, the Founders Club offers three hard courts for tennis play. Three brand-new Har-Tru courts were completed this summer. Members Club: Two Har-Tru courts equipped with lights for night play are available for play.
